Bay Shore is a small, unincorporated community located on the boundary between Charlevoix County and Emmet County. It is situated on a ridge overlooking the Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan. Bay Shore is on US 31, which connects with US 131 at Petoskey, about 10 miles to the west and with M-66 at Charlevoix about 10 miles to the east. Boyne City is about 15 miles to the south by county roads.
