The Village of Ellsworth is called the "Heart of the Great Outdoors". The small village promotes outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, swimming, fishing, boating, hunting, camping, hiking, picnics and family oriented activities. The Annual Pig Roast and Games is held the third weekend in June each year and features (in addition to roast pig) an old fashioned horse pull, parade, free games for the kids and a community praise and worship service.
