Hersey is a village in Osceola County. The population was 374 at the 2000 census. The village is located within Hersey Township. Hersey is a rural community that was started as a lumber town. It has an authentic General Store that still sells Michigan favorite Vernors and a gas station (Hersey Party Store) that sells fresh made Pizza. The beautiful Rails to Trails is paved to Reed City and to Evart. The village, and its campground Blodgett Landing, is situated at the confluence of the Hersey and Muskegon Rivers, two of the best trout streams in the state of Michigan.
