Marion is located in the northeast corner of Osceola County, inside the township of the same name. It is a picturesque town, on the Middle Branch River. The river enters town as a lake backed by an earthen dam in the city park. It then winds through the center of town all the way to the fairgrounds, at the city’s south end. Marion is primarily a farming community.
